Recorded by the post-rock band Snow Ghosts in a castle in Wiltshire, ‘A Quiet Ritual’ is an album about bereavement that is deeply imbued in history and folklore. The album is written for an ensemble of classical and electronic instruments including the carnyx – an Iron Age Celtic boar-headed horn – explored through the through the prisms of electronica and metal.
